New Black and White Kaleidoscope Mandala Design
My creative energy often comes around in cycles. Sometimes, I really have to write and don’t want to be bothered with illustrations. Sometimes, I really want to draw and struggle to write. And then once I’ve released a majority of what I needed to express in words or in art, I need a few days to work on my home. It’s like the physical act of cleaning and tidying helps me reorganize the jumble of left-over thoughts in my head. Sometimes, I find something I need to elaborate on. Sometimes I just clear out space for new information to enter.
All of that really to say, I have a new mandala.
This new Black and White Kaleidoscope mandala has intricate details that disappear and turn gray when viewed from far away. It’s a metaphor for our opinions and the judgements we make. We love to see everything around us as good or bad. But nothing is ever completely good or completely bad. There’s beauty in the ugly. Growth in our pain. Strengths in our weaknesses. When we are in a difficult situation, it’s hard to see anything other than the negatives. But if we can train ourselves to take a step back and look at everything from a slightly different perspective, we’ll start noticing the positives scattered all around us.
I’ve listed the new mandala in my RedBubble and TeePublic stores, and I hope to have it colored and listed on Etsy soon!
